Frequently Asked Questions

The ADR program, also known as a “carve out,” is state approved and designed to deliver quick and equitable settlements outside the California court system. This streamlined process includes an ombudsperson, mediators, and arbitrators overseen by a labor management committee made up of an equal number of management and labor. If one of your workers files a claim for an on-the-job injury, it is handled through this mediation method, removing the need for stressful court appearances.

When you become an Ideal Workforce client and utilize our PEO services, you become a member of the Association of California Employers, or ACE. Your employees—including temporary workers—also become union members. If an employee is hurt on the job, ADR allows them to enter into mediation rather than having to go through what can be a difficult and emotional legal process. They are treated fairly, and their Ombudsperson (appointed investigator) will answer questions and keep them informed throughout the claims process. They will receive medical care and cash payments while they are healing, as well as any agreed-upon settlement dollars. This process not only reduces stress on them and you as their employer, but also gets them back to work faster.

A PEO, or professional employer organization, provides businesses HR-related services. We handle things like payroll, regulatory compliance, and employee benefits so that business owners like you can focus on the operations side of their companies. Essentially, you’re freed to focus on profit-generating activities rather than managing HR issues.

No. When you work with Ideal Workforce as your PEO company, you trust us to handle very specific responsibilities. For example, we make sure employees are paid on time and that payroll processes meet all local, state, and federal rules—and we even issue their W2’s. However, you continue to oversee your employees as usual, setting their schedules, assigning work duties, and handling the other day-to-day duties just as you always have.
